A Message from the Canada Research Chairs Program

As a result of the Canada Research Chairs Program, created in 2000, the quality of research at Canadian universities and the use of existing knowledge have improved significantly. Most smaller universities feel that the Canada Research Chairs Program has helped their institution to establish the critical mass needed to create centres of research excellence and to attract and help retain top researchers.
